About Our Legal Clinic
Keewaytinok Native Legal Services is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario to provide free poverty law services to low-income people who qualify financially. We serve the communities of Moosonee, Moose Factory, Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Kashechewan, and Peawanuck.
Keewaytinok Native Legal Services opened in March 1981 and since then, has handled more than 34,000 cases. In addition to cases, Keewaytinok provides referrals to other lawyers and public legal education.
Our Offices
Our main office is located in Moosonee at 40 Revillon Road. Our satellite office in Moose Factory is on the 2nd floor of the Moose Cree Complex.
Appointments
Services are provided in person (in office or home visits) or by telephone. Appointments are encouraged but staff may be available for walk-ins on short notice.
