Eligibility

Keewaytinok Native Legal Services does not provide assistance in the areas of criminal law, family law, motor vehicle accidents, and personal injury law but can provide referrals.

Keewaytinok’s catchment area is Moosonee, Moose Factory, Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Kashechewan and Peawanuck.

Eligibility for legal representation is limited to people whose income and assets are within the guidelines set by Legal Aid Ontario for representation. However, we are often able to provide basic summary legal advice and referrals to anyone, regardless of financial circumstances.

We do not accept cases against First Nations or their agencies.
