Records Suspensions (formerly “Pardons”)

A record suspension allows people who were convicted of a criminal offence to have their criminal record kept separate and apart from other criminal records.  They must have completed their sentence, be able to demonstrate that they are law-abiding citizens and have completed a waiting period. It does not erase a criminal conviction but sets it aside.

A records suspension can assist with furthering job and education opportunities.

We provide assistance and advice on the process to obtain a record suspension.  While we do not charge for our services, you may have some costs to order your police records and pay for the application fee (which is currently $50).
